Danielle Lewis

A native of Las Vegas, Danielle Lewis began her violin studies as a Suzuki student at age five. Danielle now teaches the Suzuki method and has received extensive teacher training from pedagogues Patricia D’Ercole, Allen Lieb and Denise Willey. She loves teaching violin and viola to students of all ages, from 3-year-olds to adults.
 
Danielle holds a Master of Music degree from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Music degree from Brigham Young University. An avid performer, she currently plays with the Boulder Chamber Orchestra. Danielle has also played with the Mount Olympus Honors String Quartet, the O.C. Tanner Honors String Quartet and the BYU Honors String Quartet. Her teachers have included Ralph Matson, Barbara Williams and Monte Belknap.

Along with her collegiate training, Danielle attended the Aspen Music Festival in the summers of 2006 and 2011. She also placed three times in the Southwest Division of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) Young Artist Strings competition, most recently in 2014.

Danielle has traveled extensively throughout Asia and lived in Japan and Taiwan. She speaks fluent Japanese. In her free time she enjoys reading, hiking, and do-it-yourself projects.

Autumn Pepper

Ms. Autumn Pepper has demonstrated a strong passion for teaching and performing. With over 8 years of teaching experience and over 14 years of playing experience, she hopes to use her qualifications to the betterment of others.

She has soloed with the Eastern Arizona College Symphony and Chamber Orchestras and won numerous awards and honors, including the Alice Kirschner Prize in Violin from the University of Otago (New Zealand) and second place in the Solo Honors Competition from the Lamont School of Music. She has participated in international music festivals, including the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival (Vermont), Castleman Quartet Program (New York), and Domaine Forget (Quebec) where she collaborated with powerful players and instructors such as Janet Sung and Charles Castleman. She has played for masterclasses for James Buswell (NEC), Brian Lewis (UT), and Rachel Barton Pine.

Ms. Autumn received her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance (Magna Cum Laude) and Suzuki (Books 1-4) Certification from the University of Denver, Lamont School of Music, under the tutelage of Mark Rush and Kathleen Spring. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Violin Performance and Pedagogy at the University of Colorado, Boulder with Harumi Rhodes.

Well established in Colorado, she has taught for Castle Rock Music, Denver Musical Arts, and El Sistema Colorado. She has performed with the Denver Philharmonic, Englewood Arts, and Pueblo Symphony.

Ms. Autumn hopes to never stop honing her craft or developing the passion for life that music inspires, and she knows she can pass that wonderment and excitement on to her students. She is happily welcoming new students into her studio from age levels four-and-a-half through adulthood on both violin and viola.
